David Watson - Assistant Director

Assistant Director David Watson is a graduate of the Philadelphia Academy (now the University of the Arts) with a degree in voice and has done graduate work at both Temple and West Chester Universities.

He is currently in his 33rd year on the staff of Pine Grove Area School District.

His experiences include doing solo recitals, performing with the Philadelphia Lyric and Montgomery Opera Companies performing most of the major choral works in the repertoire.

He has helped prepare the Schuylkill Choral Society for major works by Faure, Rutter, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Dubois and Handel. He has also appeared with the group as soloist, conductor and organist.

He is a versatile performer, capable of moving from "The Phantom of the Opera" to "Who's On First".

Mr. Watson has twenty years of experience as a stage director. Productions which he has directed include: "My Fair Lady", "The Sound of Music", "Grease", "The King and I", "Oklahoma" and others. He is in the eleventh year of his second tour with the Schuylkill Choral Society.
